Sidonie Smith

Sidonie Smith是美国密西根大学英语与女性研究学的Lorna G. Goodison杰出大学教授。她曾是美国现代语言协会的主席(2010),此经历促成她写作Manifesto for the Humanities: Transforming Doctoral Education in Good Enough Times(2015)一书。她是Where I'm Bound: Patterns of Slavery and Freedom in Black American Autobiography(1974)、A Poetics of Women's Autobiography(1987)、Subjectivity, Identity, and the Body(1993)以及 Moving Lives: Women's Twentieth Century Travel Narratives (2001)的作者,同时她也写作多篇论文。她和Kay Schaffer为Human Rights and Narrated Lives (2004)的共同作者。与Julia Watson一同写作 Reading Autobiography: A Guide for Interpreting Life Narratives (2001; 增订本2010),并与其共同编辑一部选集和四册批评文集,分别为:De/Colonizing the Subject: Gender and the Politics of Women's Autobiography (1992)、Getting a Life: Everyday Uses of Autobiography(1996)以及 Inter/Faces: Women, Autobiography, Image, Performance(2002)。她最近与Julia Watson一同出版的书籍为Life Writing in the Long Run: A Smith & Watson Autobiography Studies Reader (2017)。
